Organising My Vanity Pt.3

Hi Everyone,

I was looking for a unique way to store my perfumes. I started my online search and came across a very elegant tray from Zara Home. I found the tray in their Tableware section, i knew this tray would look absolutely beautiful on my vanity.

The Alejandra Tray measures 28x18x4.50cm. This tray goes for € 59.99, the Reference No. 42889040.

The tray is 100% brass, with a open work border which makes it so elegant. This is a gorgeous way to spice up your vanity & it also saves alot of space.

If you would like me to share more organising tips, or you would like to share your tips with me leave a comment below, Happy Organising xoxo LB

GUERLAIN SPRING COLLECTION 2013

Hi Everyone,

I got so excited about this years spring collection. I have not purchased anything from Guerlain in a while. To be honest I skiped out on a few collections but after seeing the preview photos for this years spring collection I felt like I rediscovered Guerlain.
I purchased the 502 COUP DE FOUDRE eyeshadow palette, MAXI LASH 01 NOIR mascara, MAXI LASH 02 VIOLET & the star of the collection MÉTÉORITES PERLES DU PARADIS.

The eyeshadow palette I decided to get is the 502 COUP DE FOUDRE, these are gorgeous colours that can be mixed & matched

This palette has shades of mint green, olive green, graphite and a beautiful vibrant coral. I love the fact that Guerlain shadows are easily blendable. Since my YSL eyeshadow duo 07 that was a limited edition, I have been on the search for the perfect green quad. This quad was exactly what I was looking for.

YSL eyeshadow 07

I think green eyeshadows have become one of my essentials for neutral looks and smokey eyes.

Next I got the MÉTÉORITES PERLES DU PARADIS which is the star of the collection.

Guerlain Météorites pearls are legendary, I have become some what of a collector : ) The pearls in this Météorites are much larger than the usual size which does not bother me at all. I think it makes it fun and very unexpected.

Perles du Paradis features six skin-toned and pastel shades in a limitied edition packaging. The traditional correcting colours blue and green have been replaced by pink, to brighten dull areas. The silver pearl is designed to reflect light for a gorgeous glow. I have been using the perles du paradis this past week, it made my skin have a beautiful glow and it was almost like my complexion lit up.

This Météorites came with a beautiful pink powder puff which I thought added a vintage flair. I used a brush to apply the product to my face. Even though the pink puff is beautiful I think the product is best applied with a brush. The shimmer is very subtle, you can use it as a highlighter or as a all over face powder.

Next on my list was their new mascara CILS D´ENFER 01 NOIR and 02 VIOLET.

Guerlain does exceptional packaging when it comes to their products, this mascara was no different.
I always consider their product packaging as a sought after accessory. This is a volumizing mascara. My first impressions are I do like the brush a lot, the packaging of this mascara is more compact in comparison to their classic mascara NOIR 2 NOIR.

What are your thoughts on this collection ? Wishing you a wonderful day xoxo LB

CHANEL Poudure Signée de CHANEL illuminating powder review

CHANEL SPRING 2013

Hi Everyone, so I went and had a look at CHANEL´s Spring 2013 Makeup Collection and I was in Aww ...
When I saw the collection I honestly thought there was no way the illuminating powder would look good on a darker skintone. Most of the blogs and videos I watched had mentioned that this illuminating powder would be something for medium to lighter skintones and I myself had just gone with the idea until I just decided to try it myself.

POUDRE SIGNÉE DE CHANEL is a limited edition, this is a sheer highlighting powder. Love the gorgeous embossed details with the beautiful iconic CHANEL engravings. Perfect for highlighting the cheek bones, nose or chin to capture and reflect light. This highlighter has a very delicate luminous finish. A must have in my opinion for all CHANEL fans. This illuminating powder goes for 55 €.

The illuminating powder also comes with a foam brush applicator which I am not a fan of, I think this product is best applied with a natural fiber brush (natural hair). This highlighter does not emphazize pores. I find that this product is not chalky, glittery, shimmery in comparison to their previously launched highlighters.

I noticed on lighter skin tones this highlighter is more of a beige pink finish and on my darker skin tone it is more of a gold/pink finish.

I think CHANEL has simply done it again. A five star product. I highly recommend it. Happy highlighting xoxo LB
